Get the critical thinking skills and deeper appreciation for learning and understanding of human group behaviors. When you study 社会学 at FSU, you will be given the options to take courses in many different subfields such as gender, 犯罪学, 比赛, and inequality as well as core courses in research methods and theory. You can choose to double major in areas such as Criminal and Legal Studies or Psychology as well as others. FSU offers a bachelor science in sociology, as well as a minor in sociology or cultural anthropology. You can also participate in exciting internship experiences.
From international diplomacy to casual meet-ups between friends, sociologists work to understand the hierarchy of social structures and power that affect our everyday life. Examine social problems and analyze solutions. Explore social processes that drive communities, businesses and social groups. And because society is constantly changing, you'll learn to develop critical thinking skills and flexibility in how you consider these social behaviors.
